Java Jack was conceived and brought to life by serial entrepreneurs Moonyeen & Dennis Price.
After relocating to Batemans Bay, they went about revitalising the old Espresso Yourself Cafe into a vibrant, well-loved food destination – Uncle Joe’s Cafe – offering classic cafe foods to a growing community who call Uncle Joe’s #myhappyplace.
But that wasn’t enough.
They have always dreamed of providing an outlet for artisan cooks & foodies to the general public in a convenient format. They initially conceived Java Jack as a formal outlet for aspiring food entrepreneurs who want to establish their own brand and grow with Java Jack.
They subsequently pivoted to creating a dynamic & funky little place that serves best-in-class coffee, a range of other specialty drinks like Boba tea and as a food/snack, they developed a range of delicious Kurtosh.
Kürtőskalács (pronounced ” kir-tosh – kalatsch) is a traditional Hungarian folk food with a history dating back 300 years.
There are only a few places in Australia where you can even get the basic, traditional cinnamon ‘chimney cake’, one place where you can get the soft serve version, and as far as we now, Java Jack is the ONLY place in Australia that offers the fullest possible range of sweet & savoury chimneys, and sweet & savoury cones.
